Hi,
I agree unless wine tasting or hard liquor is done for a living most people don't know the difference and after one drink most don't remember thier names-LOL

I just finished 2 glasses of SH Zin 2005 that I bought on sale for 4.39 a bottle. It was great. So much so I stumbled upon your site looking for information about it. There was a nice fruity after taste i'm trying to identify. Possibly blackberry or currant? I'll keep looking. Thanks for the info.

Try Rosenblum California Zinfandel Vintners Cuvee XXVIII. In my opinion, it's a WOW for the price! It just barely fits into the $10-15 category. I got it for $11 on sale (normal price $15). It's nice and jammy, but I don't thing overly-sweet. And, it provides some amazing aromas (almost tarry) that you'd expect from much more pricey wines.

[...] The CheapWineReviews blog found it to be OK, noting “Pepper and spice hits my nose initially. Sweet berry taste on the tongue. If you enjoy very “bright” tasting berries, give it a try, otherwise, hold off …” [...]

Sutter Home Zinfandel 2001

[Source: Cheap Wine Reviews] quoted: is NOT Zinfandel is pointless and futile, and usually just results in a confused look from the waitstaff. In fact, Sutter Home calls this one a California Zinfandel, attempting to circumvent these awkward encounters.
